HeadStart started in 2005 as a small home school and has grown into one of Phuket's biggest British schools, with around 1,500 students across two campuses: the main Chaofah City campus in Wichit, in the centre of the island, and a newer campus in Cherngtalay on the west coast, opened in August 2023.
It follows the English National Curriculum from the early years to Year 13, and is the only school on the island offering Cambridge IGCSEs, A Levels and BTECs, which suits students who want a more applied route in the sixth form. The Cherngtalay campus currently runs up to Year 9, after which students move to the Chaofah campus.
HeadStart is a common choice for families in Phuket Town, Chalong and Rawai who want a full British pathway at lower fees than BISP. Expect a one-off fee of around 100,000 THB on entry.
