Phuket International School Term Dates and Holidays 2026/27
When the kids are actually off, school by school, read from the calendars themselves.
There is no single Phuket school holiday calendar. Schools a short drive apart break on different weeks, and the gaps matter when you are booking a camp, a flight home or a week of childcare.
So we read the schools’ own published calendars. Every date below comes from a school’s own calendar page or PDF, with the source linked, and nothing is filled in from what British schools usually do. Where a school’s dates were not readable, we say so rather than guess.

BCIS International School Phuket: Back to school on 5 January. BCIS runs holiday camps from 14 to 18 December.

Kajonkiet International School Phuket: Term 1 ends on 11 December and Term 2 starts on 6 January.

Kajonkiet International School Phuket: Term 2 ends on 2 April and Term 3 starts on 19 April.
The breaks, and when the camps run
Christmas and New Year 2026/27
Camps run 14 Dec to 8 Jan busiest: 21 Dec to 1 Jan
Christmas breaks at the schools we hold start on 12 or 14 December, and children go back between 4 and 6 January. Phuket camps run from 14 December, and the longest runs straight through to 8 January. Many families travel at this time, so book early if you are staying on the island.

February half term 2027
Camps run 1 to 22 Feb busiest: 15 to 19 Feb
Half term falls between 12 and 22 February at the schools we hold, and the only week they all share is 15 to 19 February, which is when most February camps on the island run. Thanyapura also runs the two weeks before, 1 to 5 February and 8 to 12 February, the second of which covers Chinese New Year.
Easter and Songkran 2027
Camps run 5 to 16 Apr
BISP and Kajonkiet break from 3 to 18 April, while BCIS breaks from 12 to 26 April, so the week all three share is 12 to 16 April, Songkran week itself (13 to 15 April). Phuket camps run between 5 and 16 April, so a camp in the first week suits BISP and Kajonkiet families but not BCIS ones.
Summer 2027
Camps run 21 Jun to 13 Aug
The main camp season, roughly late June to mid August. Kajonkiet and BCIS both finish on 25 June 2027. Most camp operators publish summer dates between February and April, often with early bird prices, so many camp listings still show the dates they ran in 2026.

Worth knowing
- Thai public holidays can move. Schools close for them, and if the government changes a date during the year, school calendars change with it.
- Campuses can differ. HeadStart and Lighthouse run more than one campus, and kindergartens sometimes keep different dates from the main school.
- Always check your own school’s calendar before you pay a deposit. This page is a planning tool, not a substitute.

Questions parents ask
Do all Phuket international schools have the same holidays?
No. At the schools we hold, February half term falls anywhere between 12 and 22 February, and the April break runs 3 to 18 April at BISP and Kajonkiet but 12 to 26 April at BCIS. Christmas is the one break that lines up closely, roughly mid December to the first week of January.
When does the Christmas holiday start at Phuket schools in 2026?
Christmas breaks at the schools we hold start on 12 or 14 December 2026, and children go back between 4 and 6 January 2027: BISP on 4 January, BCIS on 5 January and Kajonkiet on 6 January.
When is the Songkran break at Phuket international schools in 2027?
BISP and Kajonkiet are off from 3 to 18 April 2027 and BCIS from 12 to 26 April. Songkran itself is 13 to 15 April, so every school we hold is closed that week.
When do Phuket international schools finish for the summer in 2027?
Kajonkiet and BCIS both have their last day on 25 June 2027. Check your own school's calendar, because last days vary by a week or more between schools.
When should I book a holiday camp in Phuket?
Christmas camps are taking bookings now. Most summer camps publish their 2027 dates between February and April, often with early bird prices, so that is the time to book for summer.
